Precision Manufacturing Technology

Listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange from 1997 to 2007,  MMI became part of the KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.) portfolio of companies following a US$700 million private equity buy-out.

The HDD competitive landscape has changed since the industry’s infancy. As recently as 1995, 27 HDD OEMs battled for market share as the popularity of PCs and the proliferation of digital content drove demand for storage. However, due to consolidation in the industry, only three key players now remain. The component supplier base has also consolidated through the years, and only a few suppliers remain to serve HDD OEMs. MMI is proud of the fact that we have survived the ups and downs of the industry and remained one of those preferred suppliers.
