Our Innovation Centre’s collective knowledge and experience are effectively aligned to our customers’ product roadmap and readily address existing and future technical challenges. MMI has 134 published patents internationally with a further 29 patents pending.

Our Innovation Centre is a hub for ideation and prototyping. Our customers can hash out ideas together with our engineers in a brainstorming environment or use our open work space in our labs.

We offer a full array of value-added design engineering and product development services like R&D, DFM and rapid prototyping.

MMI had built up our modelling capability progressively from our formative years, underlining the value of going “Beyond the Print”. We are not just recognized as a world class precision manufacturer, our modelling expertise had given us our competitive edge as an innovation partner and solution provider.

Beyond the Print

At MMI’s Innovation Center, we can bring your product design to life in a matter of weeks. We use in-house state-of-the-art tools such as Finite Element Analysis. Dynamic Resonance machines, and a Scanning Electron Microscope with EDS to create and evaluate full-sized metal prototypes. Our efficient process saves you time and money during product testing and validation, enabling fastest time to market.

When it comes to precision high pressure casting for a high-volume manufacturing environment, MMI has a team of experienced tool designers and with our top end mold flow simulation software, to enable shorter tooling readiness lead times and offer product quality and reliability improvement ideas to our customers.

On our VCMA modelling capability, we are competent not just on magnetostatic simulation like Magnetic Flux Density, Magnetic Torque and Retract, we also provide our solutions together with a dynamic structural analysis like Modal Analysis and Harmonic Response Analysis as a holistic solution to our customers.

Top Cover design had gone beyond structural modelling. We have established in-house capability to study and conduct Hyperelastic modelling for our formed-in-place gaskets. As MMI  works with all the major  gasket material suppliers, the unique depth of understanding of the properties and limitations of various materials enables us to give customers the optimal solutions based on their specific needs.

Last but not least, in our Automation Equipment System Integration all of our designs are performed on 3D CAD systems that facilitated us to study the interaction of the various automation subsystems and to perform advance studies such as air-flow simulation.

TESTING

MMI’s quality commitment to our customers  also underpinned by a robust and comprehensive quality test system and regime throughout our entire  value chain from raw material testing and certification to intermediate and end-product testing.


Testing starts upstream with our supply partners and throughout our manufacturing processes all the way to finished goods and beyond. Collaborating with customers, we understand their form, fit and application function needs and fitness for use requirements. And we design and build in all the critical-to-function  parametric or functional test specifications and processes into our value chain to give our customers “Peace of Mind”.
